Renaissance
Emily Apuzzo Hopkins | February 12th, 2023
Instead of beating myself up about not posting in a year, I have chosen to give myself the same grace I would give someone else.
2022 was cray, y’all. CRAY. I closed out a big chapter in my life that (for legal reasons), I can’t say a whole lot about. And, I found out that my womb hated me and was ready to be ejected from my body, so yeah - I had a hysterectomy! Fun, right?! Yeah - it was a lot.
2020 was a literal blur; 2021 I cannot remember for the life of me; and 2022 just completed the trifecta of this Friends-level, nasty-ass trifle. I kid you not.
And now 2023 is here - she is here and she is glowing with promise and hope and telling me that it is time for a Renaissance. A rebirth. I am grabbing my paintbrush and sculptor tools so that I can reshape and build and create the things I so badly wanted to create in the last few years.
Baby steps have been taken. Long strides are being planned. And heck, I might throw in some leaps. LEAPS, I say!!!
